Thorogood Wood 'N Stream Classic Chukka

Saw this chukka online and thought it merited discussion. Looks like a solid made in America shoe. Brown cowhide, leather lining, leather footbed, leather sole with Vibram rubber half-sole, cork filling. The Wood 'N Stream line goes back to 1957. Plus the price is $100 less than US competitors. Anybody own a pair? Wondering about the fit. Also, there's an oxford for a few bucks less.
