Standard Quality Western

Here's a Standard Quality of Dinerman's. I'm a little confused by this, as I thought this designation was only for non-Westerns:

Stetson Standard Quality.
A very thin, lightweight yet stiff felt.

Super deep, crisp blind embossed Stetson logo.

Liner tip sticker with early logo.

Blue sweatband bow. This one also has a gold foil size tag, though it fell off the hat and safely put away.

Thanks Rusty. It's the crease it came with - like the hat Johnny Depp wore in "Public Enemies". I wore it out this evening, but couldn't get a decent picture - the ribbon washes out. This is the best I can do:

Looks great, Scott. The previous pics of just the hat really do it justice as well. Congratuslations! :eusa_clap

Hats from the '30s have been showing up a lot on ebay lately. As long as you are a 7 1/8 or smaller, you shouldn't have a problem.

BTW - I checked under the ribbon and there's basting stitches running all the way along the top, so I guess the ribbon's original.

Stetson "Standard Quality"

This hat is grey with purple undertones to the felt. The felt texture reminds me of soft cardboard, and the hat has a more "solid" feel compared to some of my other old examples. As you can see, this one was also manufactured for the market overseas, and was sold in Paris. The French Language below the Liner logo translates to:
"Import from the united states of america"
