Vintage 1940s or 50s peewees with tooled tops made by Bob Fogel at Kansas City Boot Shop. They appear to be barely worn, if at all, just a little banged up from being tossed around for decades. Some of the stitching has dry rotted and come loose, that should be an easy enough fix, but sadly they're a little snug, so they might have to move along.

Dale, I'm curious. Is there an address for the Kansas City Boot Shop in the stamp? I can't read it very well due to the lighting. What size do you estimate the boots to be?

Now I can get Prospect but can't make out the number.

HJ, I make out the last two digits as 17. I think the first two may be 52, 32 or 33.

I did. When he first told me he had these coming I assumed there might be some Hyer influence. The way the top of the bug rises up to a little diamond shape reminds me of some of their older ones I've seen. I sure like them.

Found a Herman Fogel living at 3317 Prospect in 1940. Born in Poland in 1918. Ben Fogel (48) was his father & head of household. No occupation listed. Interesting.

3317 Prospect, KC, Missouri

Jack the seller called them a 12, but they're pretty snug on my size 11 feet. I'd say more accurately they'd fit a 10 or 10 1/2 comfortably.

Since the Ben Fogel name is in the stamp I assume he was a cobbler & maybe a bootmaker.

Hmm. Pretty close to the size of someone I know.

They will probably be narrow by today's standard but I could see those headed your way.

This boot/hat case sold recently on an estate-sale auction site for a little over $1000.

"A circa 1957 bench made Roark tooled leather case created for Nashville legend, the King of Country Swing, Hank Thompson"

Some of my art is showing at a gallery in western NY, and the gallery owner also runs a pretty impressive vintage shop in the same building. He had several pairs of killer vintage boots (all tiny, sadly). Here's a few of the cooler pairs I saw.

Didn't see it elsewhere, but it's been a big deal around these parts this week...legendary Texas boot maker Rocky Carroll died last week at age 79. Carroll made custom boots for everyone from Elizabeth Taylor to U.S. Presidents to Queen Elizabeth II, along with thousands of regular folks in between.

Second this recommendation.I should add that I did have good experiences with Tim's Boots of El Paso several years ago.I sent tracings and measurements and bought several pairs of Black Jack boots from them.
