Absolutely amazing!!!!!! Great hat....I really love those heathered felts........and that shorthair texture is wonderful!! The only thing that would be better were if it were size 7 1/2 and belonged to me.

This is a great style for you Justin. The Stetson Standard Quality from this era is the archetypal fedora that so many modern gangster movies attempt to replicate. Johnny Depp as Dillinger was well hatted but one of my favorites was worn by Boris Karloff in Scarface (try to find a good picture - an image search tends to show Karloff in other roles). Straight sided crown, flat brim flange. Such a good look.

I wish @moontheloon would wear his!!

I agree, Alan. I love how this one fits, definately needs a collared shirt and not the t-shirt I've been wearing lately (dont want to ruin anything nice in this heat/unpacking). From the one you showed me in the messages, they do look similar. I tried this one with the brim up yesterday, and actually liked the look. I'll have to post a photo if I can remember

This hat came with the original box. was sold by the original owners children. They said it was their fathers hat while he was attending college in the 40s timeframe.

The felt is a dark Navy blue, turning to near black depending on the lighting
