Block 006

My mistake Brad. I looked at the old list and saw Block 600 and just inversed the number. Block #006 would be a new block number on the list. What in particular do you find strange about the number? I'm not sure if I have a block #600, if I do I will have to compare the two. The hat also has a liner material (see my original post) I haven't seen on a Knox until this one.

I just haven't run across a block number that starts with zeroes. It essentially makes it a number 6 block, and I haven't seen a single-digit block, either. Makes me wonder if whoever printed up the label also changed up the digit order, and it really should be 600. It will be interesting to compare to a 600, if you have one.

I think this is a new block number for you, 5022. It's in this Peters Bros hat I've just posted in the Amon Carter Shady Oaks thread. The hat has a 3 3/4 inch brim. The crown is 6 1/2 inches open and 6 inches as blocked. The tag looks like there may be numbers etc at the left above "Oval", but if so, they're about worn off

Another new block number is #5187, 5 3/4 depth, for a 1933-35 Cavanagh I bought earlier today but hasn't arrived yet. Photos are from seller's ad, which alleges that this fedora has a 3 inch brim, but I'm not sure I believe it.
