Have you heard of Goldtops?
I used to have a pair very similar to the ones in the link, only mine were black. Unfortunately, they went for a walk out of the pannier. I can't remember what hide was used, but they were amazingly soft, fleece lined too.

I have not heard of goldtops! They look good. I am trying to see if any one had any experiences with the practical use of gauntlets and which brand they are using.

I have never bought this type of gloves. My experiences have been with mainly Italian made gloves for moto gp.

Goldtop are highly recommended. THey've been revived as brand justover the last couple of years; I have no idea whether they have any connection to the original company, but they do put out nice stuff and are clearly passionate about what they do. Of this sort of thing I've seen, they probably have the widest range of colours, hides and linings.

Here in London, Silvermans offer a few options in and around the GBP30 mark. Their own-brand (GTH) stuff is generally pretty good:

If you really want to push the boat out and get into something customised and high end, there's Chester Jeffries:

Be prepared to spend big by comparison there, though. I have a few pairs of their general dress leather gloves and they are beautiful, but tbh if I was only looking for soemthing for costume / display purposes, the like of the Goldtops are perfectly fine; if I wanted something to actually take out on a bike to ride in anger, I'd be looking at spending the money on something more protective (unfortunately, nobody yet seems to do that in quite this style).

Thanks so much for your informative post. I am in the market to get a good set to ride on my road king. I do have some high end Dainese gloves that use with my ducati. However, I do not want to use the Dainese gloves on my HD. I am inclining to get the Goldtop. Since I have never actually wore a retro style gauntlets I do welcome your sage advice.

Thanks again!
