I'm more of a ham man too. We usually have both at the extended family Thanksgiving dinner. But by far my favorite part of the evening are the banana cream pies that my uncle gets from a Chinese restaurant in Sacramento.

Any chance you know the name of the place in Sacramento? I'm up there several times a month and I'm always in the lookout for these gems.

Frank Fat's is the name of the place, where in Sac I couldn't tell ya.

Today is another ancient French hat on stroll to my office

It is a JB made of wool, or mixed felt, before World War II

It comes from that landmark located in Strasbourg and precisely in the Chapellerie Meer

I have a particular preference for this hat even if some signs of the time are on it

That hat is just perfect with that coat! You guys really know how to slide into full boat winter. It is unseasonably warm (still rainy) here in Oregon, it is 58 degrees outside! We still have not had a hard killing frost, I still have snap dragons holding on and blooming. You look well equipped for the arctic.

Matt, today I open the new home for my hats

during the census, not yet concluded, I noticed that the French hats of the 30's and 40's have this tendency to have a pompous crown, almost chubby.
