That being said, there is a human perception at play, and as they say, "perception is reality". If an exemplary employee commits an infraction, disciplinary action may be less severe, than the same infraction for an employee perceived by a supervisor as a pain. What happens post incident greatly effects the eventual outcome. I have seen employees lose there job, because of the attitude taken when action is proposed. So often if dialog were kept open, and each party attempted to reach middle ground, these issues could be resolved. Being disrespectful never helps. I don't think failure to participate helps, especially when we enjoy this place so much. When I had to take disciplinary action against someone, I never discussed it with anyone other than the parties directly involved. I know this is a forum, not a job, but certain ethics still apply. We all want Bob back, but maybe we should reevaluate our approach. I guess that was more than two cents!

As a manager myself, my skill set leans toward team building, problem solving, and achieving a goal. My approach has always been to be open, honest, and forthright about things. Communication is key when dealing with groups of people. So when something like this happens, I am compelled to seek a solution through open dialogue. You're never guaranteed to get what you want, but at least you know where you stand and why. Stonewalling, in my experience, is counterproductive and can breed resentment and discord.

At this point, from the information I have, I wonder whether our hosts care about the community they have fostered, and this disappoints me.

Regardless, one-sided discussions are not gratifying, nor productive. So with that in mind, enjoy the hats posted, my friends.

As I said every country has its own rules on the use of satire, irony and sarcasm and here I do not want to discuss those of FL
- I think a step can be done on both sides: Bob lowers his head and apologizes for repeating the sin and the administrators put him under observation, re-joining the forum immediatly.
Discussing with bitter soul, getting angry, making proclamations or threatening to abandon FL hats section is plausible, but are you sure this serves on a site that shows hats to reclaim a supposed "desire for freedom of expression"?
I want to clarify that my observations are made from a European and Italian point of view, in particular, where satire and teasing are different than the country where Fedora Lounge is hosted, but I never allowed myself to pee out of the jar

Band rehearsal tonight after work. This newer Dobbs is my primary band lid. I’ve done a lot of gigs with this hat on my noggin and it has a lot of sweat and beer and bar grime on it (and I plan on never cleaning it). Nothing like a black hat in a blues band.
