What Aero jacket next?

I'm 6'1 and trim, 42 normal jacket. I downsized to a 38 highwayman with added length and sleeve length per Carrie's suggestion. It's not boxy at all, haven't tried the premiere hwy, but like the original better.

The Bootlegger is a very different style than the Highwayman. I wear my normal size in the Bootlegger.

Corduroy lined, wearing it today and it's cold in Kentucky. Great winter coat for me, plus get compliments every time I wear it.
People who haven't seen top level leather coats are amazed.

It really depends what you're after...for a cross zip that's not overly moto I don't think anything can touch the Bootlegger. There's something about the understated front and half belt back. It's a winner. And it's totally unique and frankly unmistakable from anything else. I'm practically chewing on the walls waiting for mine to come home. Battered tan and cordovan would be spectacular. I much prefer Aero's steer and went with brown this time but I owned one in Cordo. It was shockingly beautiful.

Slim Bootlegger in cordovan.

Just for curiosity, when you say slim is the same thing as STF (which should stand for super tight fit I believe?) that I saw lately appearing on the Aero sale page for some jackets?

Do you know if it’s something they’ve always done “behind the scene” or just a recent offering? Can’t find anything on their website.

Cheers

I believe the super tight fit (STF) was born of Japanese necessity for smaller/thinner customers. If I'm not mistaken it follows along the same design principles as the premier range. Higher arm holes and trimmed down chest, shoulders and waist.

I would go for a Moonshiner in brown Vicenza or Goatskin. That's what is on my mind right now, that and also a Seabiscuit in goatskin maybe or also vicenza.

Yes, STF is the same thing. I got a STF Bootlegger earlier this year. It was a 38, as size up from my usual 36, but because it was slimmed right down with the high arm holes, it fits a lot closer as opposed to the standard Bootlegger's slightly boxier fit.

Carlos, is the one on the left black, or almost black, in daylight? I think I might have spotted it in the wild on Apple Day / October Plenty at Borough Market?

Cordovan bootlegger in horsehide. For the win.

Natch.

Fwiw re fit, the Bootlegger (regular) is a 50s halfbelt with a different front. Roomier than a prewar halfbelt, slimmer than a Highwayman.
