Great outfit. I understand about chasing hats down the street. Where I live a 30 mhr wind is just a light breeze.
Thanks Oldbnd. Yes, chasing hats gets gets tiresome. I was raised up on the plains of western Mn and there might still be a few hats up there that I never did catch up with.

Expertly put together, Michael (as always).
Thanks steur. I do love some tweed.

Cool as ever, Michael!
Thanks D.

Looks like the windy and chilly weather brought out the caps today.

Great looking Harris tweed newsboy D. I may have to pull out a houndstooth model myself tomorrow morning.

Thanks all,
Michael

That Borsalino angora should give you sweet dreams.

Bowler called it, Red. That angora is great!

Thanks everyone! I have to thank Stefan and Daniele for unearthing these two Borsalinos. It appears that both the Angora and the Savoy were owned by the same gentleman, probably in the Chicago area in the 1950s.

Well today was a banner hat day. Merry Christmas to me. Two boxes, one from the Netherlands and one Ebay. Just a quick look at:

View attachment 97947 From Stefan: A Borsalino "Angora" c.1955 View attachment 97948 Another Borsalino, this time a "Savoy" This one is for Mike Miller. View attachment 97949 And finally, a rather interesting Homburg from Scotland, maker unknown. The Ebay images showed it much more like a Navy blue, it appears to be black.

More posting later after I process this haul. I'm tired. I need a cigarette and a nap.
Super haul Red. That angora is truly sweet.

All great, but that Angora is superb.
