Did your doctors offer you to try vitamine B12/B complex-injections as another possibility for your whole neural-system?

How much cost these injections in the US?
In Germany from 6 to 10 Euro, per injection. But I don't know really, if my five B complex-injections were really useful, because the laboratory-nurse injected intravenous and practial all german medicine says, that's the wrong way, because the standard-procedure is intramuscular, because of the important depot-effect. They say, without depot-effect, the injection is "useless". :(

Well, all those ailments, my dear, point to relief via weed.
Or so I've heard. Sharing for a friend.

My neurologist actually suggested I try weed. Since I have relatives in Colorado, where it's legal, I'm thinking of taking a couple of days and going out there to experiment with different types. The only problem? It's not legal where I live. There's this massive uproar about the opioid epidemic which is going to make it harder for people like me who rely on them for pain management to get. So I'd like an alternative and weed might fit the bill. Unfortunately, I have no desire to get thrown in jail for it.

My mother was epileptic as a child which saddens me, but fortunately it went away in her adulthood. Father is anemic, and sister has lupus (the worst). I am overall very lucky minus the occasional panic attack (panic disorder). Have found ways to work through them (with the help of meds) and I too take a daily Vitamin B supplement along with plenty of water. Panic attacks aren't a minor thing to the sufferer. Not much you can do until you realize you are hyperventilating and next thing you notice is numb extremities and an ever-increasing pushing feeling on the chest. It seems there's no way such an overwhelming physical response can be attributed to a chemical imbalance in the brain, but apparently it is so. The list of symptoms for anxiety disorders is varied and almost endless. Prayers for my poor sis, who is the real trooper. But I really feel for the panic sufferers here.

Since I was diagnosed in February 2017, I've been living with colon and liver cancer and treatments of chemo and now radiation and the affects from that which is mainly an almost constant weak and tired feeling (it could be worse..just a few years ago it would have been nausea and diarrhea among other miseries). A couple weeks ago they planted radiation beads in my liver by going up through an artery. They will see if this is working to shrink the cancer spots on my liver in three months with a CT scan. The chemo has shrunk them somewhat..although this can't be cured but only treated, kept from spreading and slowed down.
Sadly my Wife passed away in November 2016 of colon and liver cancer. However her's was much more advanced than mine. Since February I was diagnosed with cancer..had a heart attack due to a chemo medicine requiring a stint...a blood infection with a weeks hospital stay then a week of out patient daily anti biotics to cure it...and tomorrow morning is prostate surgery for an enlarged prostate. What a summer for me, but I am still here and everyone says...boy you sure look good..you've been through WHAT..??
Right now and for the next few years I must live with the effects of treatment and the aftermath with the medication in my pillbox. I had hardly ever been sick..visited a doctor..or taken medication until this year when it seems everything hit at once. I must say though that all through this I have been blessed. My cancer hasn't spread...the heart attack was mild..the blood infection was cured and after tomorrow I'll be able to pee again..!! ;)

Panic attacks are indeed horrible. I have suffered from anxiety in the past - most recently this year due to my ex's infidelity and our divorce - and so I know what you're talking about. I am glad they are infrequent and that you've been able to find ways to work through them. :)

HoosierDaddy, oh my goodness! You have had quite the run of poor health lately! But I am so glad to see your positive attitude. That makes a world of difference. Sympathies to you on the passing of your wife last year.

And like I said on another thread, I have no dental fillings, myself.

But if you still got Amalgam, make sure, that this old special-waste in your mouth is really "dense"!

My condolence over the death of your wife and I wish you a speedy recovery. Your postive attitude toward life should be a good example to us all.

I'd be interested in hearing what you discover. I'm not dealing with chronic pain myself, so making myself a CBD test subject would be pointless. Still, if I'm understanding the reports correctly -- that the pain-relieving compounds in cannabis can be isolated from the psychoactive ones -- that's good news indeed.

Well. Just came back from the rheumatologist. He diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. Yay?!? Sigh. But maybe the meds that haven't been working for the RA might work for the fibro. I'm pretty desperate to get some relief from this.

Sorry, that I cannot tell you another thing, but Fybromyalgia-diagnose doesn't mean much. It's called "Docs embarrassment-diagnose", if he doesn't know exactly and wants to diagnose.

But, the good thing is, that you already take your daily vitamine D, so this topic can already be excluded. :)
Now, Doc should check the highly important vitamine B12-topic and offer a "(Holo)-transcobalamine II"-bloodtest, to know about your bio-active (!) B12-level.

I disagree with you. I don't know exactly what you're trying to say - are you saying that fibromyalgia isn't real?

The diagnosis "Fibromyalgia" is existing, itself, of course. But, even in 2017, medicine doesn't know really, what they are dealing with, so, the diagnosis "Fibromyalgia"doesn't seem to have a real fundament and cannot be made, safe. The tender-point thing is disproved, since years.

In Germany of 2017, after circa ten years (!) with a sudden huge flood of fibromyalgia-diagnoses, fibromyalgia is widely acknowledged as an "fictional diagnosis", now. Probably invented for other "reasons", not helping us.
No doctor can explain to you, where this diagnose-flood came from!

We call it "fashion-diagnose", doctors are placing to be friendly, but not really knowing how to help the patient, further. If you got fibromyalgie, your diagnose can be replaced with many other diagnoses. It's a totally unclear thing. That's, why we call it a "fictional diagnose", here.

Especially the neurologists have to check the vitamine B/B12 level, before they are talking about fibromyalgia or other things. They normally have to check all possible causes, before going further.
In Germany of today, your family doctor or your neurologist is (normally) first asking, if you're vegetarian/vegan, lack of sleep, beeing stressed, beeing dehydrated and all that basic things, before other things are discussed.

Fibromyalgia?

Often, it's classic "polyneuropathy", for real. >>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subacute_combined_degeneration_of_spinal_cord

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myelin

-lack of vitamin B1?
-lack of vitamin B12?
-bloodlevel of Bisphenol A, how much canned food?
-Amalgam?
-work-life-balance?
-nutrition?
and so on...

Do you remember, which B12-bloodtest they did? That's very very important to know! :)

Classic "total-B12" or the modern (Holo)transcobalamin II-test?

I don't know. But I think we've exhausted the topic. I understand that you are a big proponent of Vitamin B12, but for those of us who've struggled for years with chronic illnesses, we've researched everything under the sun to try and get well and there is no magic cure-all, and we also get quite tired of people telling us to try this and try that even though we've already done most of those things. Sometimes, you can't cure a disease. A lot of time you can't. We live with this knowledge daily, and it's not easy. So I would politely ask you to move on from the Vitamin B12 subject. Thank you.

The truth is, doctors all over the world gladly use the term/diagnose "fibromyalgia", to get rid of patients. But they would never be honest and tell you that.

Always remember that.

Now, I'm out of here.
