The heather finish on this hat has to be fondled to be appreciated fully. Wow, does it wear well. Stefan says it is a "Borsalino Angora Gorascu in the colour Misto Grigio" .

The felt, with no name color, is fantastic as the matching with the ribbon color
Usually the names of the plants growing on Lake Maggiore were used to determine the name of the color of the felts
Panizza made marvellous hats, no so elegant like Borsalino, not so bold as Barbizio, but very, very fine in a classic Italian tradition

It is really, really soft felt. It wants a tight pinch in the front and a very "organic" crown. It has fallen into a teardrop shape with my fondling.Mike the "Angora" Borsalino that you received from Stefan is the slightly softer brother of the brown Borsalino I wore yesterday.
The felt finish, short-haired, is the same. Your color has a more varied color in its texture and probably has a slightly less shiny.
"Un signor cappello" that I would have held in Verona with great pleasure, shame about the tiny size
