The lack of a liner makes me think it was a summer hat? The leather sweat means it wasn't a roll-up. I'm also concerned with the brim as the photos show it down front and back, but I'm hoping someone just popped the snap brim down. I'm posting this same info on the eBay thread, but I thought I'd ask the experts here too.

The finish on this hat is superb, the felt is so soft it melts like butter. The hat crease is organic, it does what it wants. Originally, Stefan thought this may be a hat from the 1930s. I will have to review the posts as to dating from the mfg tag on Borsalinos. It slso may be from the mid 1950s. The store it was sold from in Chicago has been a haberdasher since the 1850s. They closed for good in 1979.

When I first posted it I thought it was older, but Anthony (moontheloon) pointed out to me that the OPS sticker it carries was only in use for a few years in the early fifties. That fitted better with the age of the other one (the Savoy) too. Good to see him posting in some of the threads here again by the way..
