A box have arrived
It's been in the mail since 81 (no it wasn't).
It's a normal basic 4x beaver Stetson from the 80's.
No it's not the full 5"... but close. The original hatband is probably lost and I can't tell if the snake skin is real or fake since I've never handled any.
Well probably it will see more head time than my other chocolate brown big country (well the hat does not have the paper tag so I can't tell if it is a big country but the measures are really close).
The brim have some... issues not visible to the eye but for what I had payed, I don't really care.

Woke up this morning here in Northeast Nebraska with the temperature at -26 F so I stayed in the house. Watched some football and cleaned and steamed a hat. Same hat as in my avatar. Resistol Western, 5.75 inch Open Crown, 3.75 in Brim, 1.5 inch cotton ribbon. I call this my Lawman hat.......makes me think of an Old West Lawman, like Wyatt Earp. Suppose to get a little relief tomorrow with a high of 18, which will feel pretty good.

Nice vintage hat marked "Jack Connolly SADDLERY Livingston, Mont.". Still in business today, Connolly first started business in 1929. 4" x 7" crown in Silverbelly.
