Who shot J.R?

Hell, I don't know. But I do know this Mallory Premier Dallas is a fine lid and I really like it. Picked this one up a couple of years ago following a hot tip from Anthony. Thanks to his aversion to black hats, I scooped it up (it's really a dark charcoal).

Nice old Mallory you ended up with Jim. Great lines.

Biltmore - one of that batch of the last Canadian made hats.

Cool! What year did they move production out of Canada? Love the hat.

It's good to see the Dallas make an appearance. I really like that deep, deep gray.

The 11 year old son of a close buddy asked me if I could get him a beret. So I was in France earlier this week and got one for him and figured I may as well get one for myself. This was to compensate for not picking up a €20 black long fur felt, sharkgill Dermotta I saw in Episode in Paris but which was of course gone 1 hour later when I came to my senses...The beret is not the top brands, but did come from Basque country in the southwest.

In Paris, there are military walking around for security, ranging from Marines (blue beret), foreign legion (green) and mountain troops (giant beret) - my grand uncle was a sergeant in the 50s, amusing photos of him sporting this type of beret:

Happy Friday, all.

Based on the $12.50 price point, this is a 1944 or thereafter Dobbs Game Bird (Mr. Bowers helped me with that tidbit).

It's got a nifty little zigzag double stitching treatment on the brim that is reminiscent of the Borsalino that Bill showed us last week.

Enjoy the day.

That cool stitching is just icing on the fuzzy cake with this Gamebird Matt. Love it completely.
