Hello Ladies,
I'd very much appreciate some advice as I'm totally out of my depth.

My wife last year discovered that one of her old school friends is now in the burlesque business. My wife has since then been developing an interest in the glamorous look of burlesque dancers, and associated costumes. She often looks at lingerie and bustiers on the internet produced for the high-end 'goth loli' market, but she is unable to buy anything since they are predominantly aimed at typically slightly-built Japanese ladies. My wife is above average height for a Japanese lady, and has a rare (over here) 'hourglass' figure.
She could go for something made to measure, but that would be extremely expensive here.

So I thought that western manufacturers would probably be a better source for her.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
Is there anything I need to know or check especially before ordering? I'd like to try and make it a surprise.

I've had a stooge around the internet, but I want to buy her something glamorous, pretty and high-quality, not something like a hooker from an adult store (no offense to hookers) and I don't really know which brands or retailers I should be looking at.

Thank you in advance.

Happened to read this with my gf right next to me she recommended Dita Von Teese lingerie Which can be found here.

And then Pin Up Girl Clothing sometimes here and there has stuff. It’s mosty just 50’s-60s style every day wear but some things can be thrown together for a burlesque style outfit.

Or this place

According to her it’s diffcult to find good quality stuff that’s not just pure costume and that’s what most of it is. So she recommends the Dita Von Teese Line simply because it’s actuallt built well and used by a professional not just a goth, pauchobilly costume gear.

Thank very much err, gentlemen and sheeplady!
I'm glad to see that you appreciate my dilemma of needing something quite glamorous but not 'costume'. It's a minefield of shady and embarrassing internet search results as I'm sure you can imagine.
@Edward, yes! Fairy godmother was the default I've been keeping in mind in the event that there weren't better choices. They seem to have some good things.
I have to admit, I'm trying to avoid bespoke since I don't want to measure my wife and spoil the surprise.

@dannyk, please thank your gf for me, that's a good call, I'll check out the DVT website.
Sparkling strawberry looks very good too! Thank you, I'm impressed.

@sheeplady, of course, What Katie Did! I completely forgot about them. I'll take a look. But IIRC, these are genuine vintage style everyday undergarments. Will they have anything sufficiently scandalous? I'll check!
