No, I think this is an original from the early century. The B&W version is out there with it somewhere. I seem to remember it being one of those mug shots from the 20s. I'll have to surf back into it to find the provenance.

Like so many things out there this is misidentified if they say early 1900's or teens. MAYBE late 20's or early 30's..........shirts like he is wearing did come out then.....
It is still possible it is contemporary as a LOT of Designers and Shops (like Men's Warehouse) really like the B&W period look photo's for their ads in their modern lines of cloths (even the hand colored) These are even on display in their stores.......
I really have a hard time with almost all the internet these days.....so much is incorrect or misidentified. I am constantly seeing re-enactors images (poor ones at that, with bad impressions) being used as the real thing and identified as "original" period photography. Heck we have images of soldiers in the local historical society that are clearly from the Span Am War being identified as "Civil War". That is what the donating family said after all......Great Uncle John could not be wrong....right?!?!?
