Have a great day!

Rockin that derby in a Killer shirt John.

Another rain day. Yesterday it was an Akubra and today it’s a Stratton Sheriff’s (reformed with a little steam into a fedora).

And this last shows the reinforced chin strap opening and also shows my long oval head not fitting the sides of this stiff felt hat. I had to go up a size to get the standard oval to fit:

This has also motivated me to finally get around to shimming the sides.

That turned out to be an interesting hat Brent. The ribbon is cool.

Today it’s “Fuzzy Friday” for me. Not much for fuzzy hats and feathers but this one works. Stetson 3x, lots a crown, 2”gills, 2 7/8” brim, nicely done underwelt and a feather. I kinda like this fuzzy fella. The feather stays.
As always, thanks folks for the kind words of late. Hard to keep up.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: thought it was Friday! Oh well. B
Don't worry, I missed TAR Thursday with my European tour this week. Love the furry one. Super hat.

Mallory plastic felt Right before work :) shout out to Justin thank you.
You have been presenting a stellar collection sir!

Thank you guys for the likes and comments on my Stetson from this morning. That is a real favorite hat of mine for sure.
Finishing the day with a nice Texas sunset, over the Trinity River, and my VS Dualist.
Cheers!
David
Always love the Dualist David. Great sunset.

I'm into this new to me Stetson St. Regis Homburg. A little brushing and steam and then to the bank and a few errands. Getting older, with some arthritis so giving up some of my hunting revolvers. Sad in a way, to be letting go of some things but the hats are always there, right? Anyway, as they say, getting old isn't for sissies.

This lid is super comfortable and I'm impressed by the quality of the felt.

Fantastic looking St. Regis! You always have your head, even if your hands are shot.

Great hat. I’ve been watching for one in 7 5/8 to come along.

For different reasons, I’ve given up on heavy recoiling guns too. I have more fun with easy/economical light loads even in my big guns. Perhaps not suitable for hunting, but a kick in the pants to shoot. Vintage hats, like guns, hold their value if cared for.

Thanks for sharing,
Brent

Today's paper! Although the picture isn't from today. I had a trusty lightweight Stetson Sovereign on.

I'm currently too scruffy to wear my typical garb without looking like a beatnik. I dunno how all you guys pull off the bearded look so well. I'm sincerely jealous .
Congratulations, Wesslynn! Continued success to you!

Sun also today, Friday, and a little bit warm. The black French continues....
mljt01.jpg

Mossant in heather felt, thin ribbon

It arrived with dust and bread crumbs on the crown. It was completely shapelees

The felt is soft with medium hair and a white-grey-black color that changes off and under the sun

I spent some time to give it a shape and I'm now quite satisfied
