I've got a hat that's just too big for me to handle here. I tried putting some foam under the sweatband, but I finally had to admit: it's just too bloody big for me. It was advertised as a 6-7/8, which I can handle, though they said they suspected it of being bigger. Well, it was bigger - too bigger. With a small influx of new vintage hats coming my way (and my wife starting to end her silence of patience), I better let this one go. Specs:

Size: 7-1/2. Brim: 2-3/4" (actually 1/16" less than that). Crown height: 5" at highest point (which is somewhere between the front and the side). Crown height unbashed: about 5-1/2". Condition is excellent. No moth damage, maybe two *slightly* dirty spots here and there, no more than an 1/8" in diameter. they were so slight I couldn't really get them to show up in photos. They would be no problem whatsoever to clean or get out. I just didn't want to mess with it too much. I'd like to get about $25.00 out of it, to cover what I paid (including the questionable "handling fees" I paid when I bought it).

Buyer pays whatever actual shipping charges are, and I'll ship it in one of the boxes my Akubra was shipped to me in (I have two).

Email me with any questions at: havershaw@cox.net

I almost forgot: I could be willing to trade also. Size 7, please (I can swing 6-7/8 and 7-1/8 also, but I'd prefer 7).

Hmmm... we are roughly the same age, same hat size, same height. Maybe if I shave my mustache...

Michaelson, I never got an email from you...maybe it didn't go through for some reason?

I just didn't want you to think I never answered you...but I checked my Inbox again and Sergei is the only person I got emails from regarding the hat.
