Well, it's not as fun as iTunes, where you can hear clips, but here's some songs off my "Vintage Lifestyle" playlist, specifically chosen for the mood and "vintage sound".

Mostly vintage recordings, for this category I really like recordings that aren't too clean; some pops and crackles have a nice effect.

Smile at Me Baby-Unknown artist, but from Call of Cthulhu. It reminds me of something that would be in Rube's (Dead Like Me) record collection.

Ma (She's Making Eyes at Me)-Happy Harry and his "Two Beat" Six, and pretty much the whole Roaring 20s Album. I found it in a thrift shop and the clerk looked at me like I was crazy when I bought it.

Okay, so I just bought I'm An Old Jitterbug-Virginia O'Brien(new discovery for me!), and found a Glenn Miller version of Speak Low to in my library to add to my Vintage Lifestyle playlist. Great stuff!

I also love Never Gonna Dance. That scene in Swing Time is my personal "most romantic movie scene".

Ella Mae Morse! Of Course! How about "Milkman, Keep Those Bottles Quiet" - doesn't get more vintage than that!

What'd you thin of Virginia? I'm an old Jitterbug is quite date but I just love it. It takes me to another time and place and I love the music. It makes me wish I could dance.

I agree about Never Gonna Dance. The body language and spoken language in that scene is great.

I agree but I think music from every Generation has something to offer. I like music from the 1600's or earlier to music being made now.

The list would be HUUUUUUUUUUUGE..... that's a very difficult task really!

Let's say that in my case, 80% of popular songs from the late 20s and 30s would be included!
