British Intelligence

I was watching the movie British Intelligence (1940 Boris Karloff) a few nights ago and noticed that one actor wore an interesting hat in the movie. It was part homberg and part fedora. The crown was a fedora block while the brim was classic homberg. It was a very interesting hat. Was this a standard hat in the 1940s or a movie creation?
I sort of like the hat. The best of both worlds. ;)

Yeah, it also lowers the height of the crown if it is too high for the wearer. Interesting. I mgiht have to try that.:D
