I have two pairs of them. One I have worn every day for a year straight, and they still look like new (I apply standard pecard's every three months). The other is sitting in my closet waiting on this pair to wear out. Best boots I've ever worn.

Really? Have you ever worn Aldens?

Yes, after much councelling with Adam i drove 2 hours each way to be fitted for the Aldens and i must say they are great boots. I just wanted the vintage cap toe look with these. :D

Those are nice! Why would you want them dressier? With what would you wear them?

I just wanted a darker brown with a slight shine. I wear them with dress pants and casual pants. They look good with both. I wore them to church with grey pants and a blue blazer and my Montecristi. I felt like a million bucks!

They don't make Aldens in my size, as I wear a 15 B (narrow). Aldens only go to 14. Granted, I haven't tried on a pair, so I may be able to wear a 14, but I haven't had the chance to.

Very. That's the same place I bought both of my pairs. I probably should get a third pair to save for down the road. LOL

Nathan and Roger - regarding the Chippewas...this is a hard question, but maybe you can give me some advice. I wear a 9 1/2 EEE* in my dress shoes...in casual shoes I can often wear a 10W.

Knowing how these boots fit, do you think a 10 EE** would work, or should I go with a 10 1/2 EE? In other words, how do these boots fit compared with your dress shoes?

I may have to order 2 different sizes, and sell one on eBay! :D

David

*Kind of hard to fit...sound familiar?
**I was told by a customer service rep that their "EE" = wide.

They fit the same as my dress shoes.

However, every foot is different, so I'd recommend buying a pair, and if they don't fit, send them back, or sell on ebay.

Would you believe...Witness Protection Program??? ;)

No, not shy MK, just overly private I guess. I may break down and "come out of my shell" one day.
