It's not really my style but seeing this older, probably Sears Motorcycle jacket at Goodwill was too hard to pass on. It's in excellent condition. All the zips work and the lining is also in great shape. The fit was just about dead on.

This coming spring in may of 2017 my wife and I are going to celebrate 40 years of marriage by going to London and Paris for 17 days. We've never traveled abroad before and I'd welcome any suggestions from you who live there or have been there. Idea's on lodging and transportation are...
We have a Wills leather shop here in Eugene now. They also sell hats. The Wool hats are $395. rabbit felt is $495. The hats didn't look bad but honestly I don't know of any informed buyer that would pay that much for a Wool or Rabbit when you can get a custom 100% beaver for less from Art...
I did a search but couldn't find it so if this has been posted before you can move it to that thread. But does anyone know or have an educated guess whether this was a Whippet or not? I watched few old episodes the other night and George Reeves fedora sure looked good.

I found this old Syroco Pipe holder at Goodwill the other day. It's in great shape with no chips. I don't smoke but thought it was unique and bought it as a conversation piece.

I was just over at Northwest Hats and he had just received some felt bodies from Fepsa. What a contrast between it and a Winchester body. And this is just the Fepsa rabbit body, I'd love to see the beaver body. Hopefully Mike will get some of those later on. Here is a pic of them side by side...
I just found this Clipper Craft wool tweed jacket at Goodwill. It is in excellent condition with the leather buttons in great shape and it fits perfect. I'm not sure of the era? 60s or 70s? The 70s tweeds I've seen generally have wider lapels. Any body have an idea? I like the scalloped...
Has anyone tried different knots on their ties rather than the standard Winsors, Pratt knot or 4 in hand? Here's one I tried recently. There are some Youtube videos that show a plethora of them. Many of them will work even on a vintage tie despite them being shorter. It has added some fun...
I'm at the Portland antique show and just found a Goodwear Star A-2 for a fraction of what they new. Fit is perfect and it's in great shape. Woo hoo! I'll post pics later.

I know that this has been discussed before but with so many new members perhaps it would be worth talking about again. Since most people who are new to the hat world don't really know what a quality fedora is and what difference there is between the Vintage, New off the shelf and custom...
I was over at Northwest Hats this morning and Mike was finishing up this hat a customer had brought in. It had a 3 inch brim and he wanted it cut down with an edge binding put on. Mike wanted to try something he hadn't done before. So he did an edge binding with two contrasting colors, one...
I recently acquired this Stetson 100 and while the felt and construction were fantastic it was still a rather "Blah" looking fedora. So I took it over to Mike Miller at Northwest hats and had a different ribbon and matching edge binding put on it. I also had him reblock it as it had some taper...
I, like probably many others here have bought fedora's that didn't fit just because they were great hats at a decent price. I've always tried with limited success to still wear them by padding the sweatbands. But recently I've had several resized down from a 7 1/2 and 7 3/8ths to a heavy 7...
Always wanted one of these, but are they Legal to wear??
I've wanted one of these for years and just won this vintage one off of ebay. I paid a little more than I wanted to but the fact that it has "Premium Beaver" imprinted on the sweatband inclined me to bid a little more. But I've been...
This seller has a lot of Panama's on ebay, some are very expensive. "ecuacorp" Just wondering how reputable they are. And yes I know Panamabob is the most reliable and trustworthy, no argument there. I am just wondering if anyone has experience with ecuacorp since they have a lot of hats...
I've been in the market for a new suit and have went to various stores and also shopped online and have found some puzzling info given about the material on various suits. I always thought the "Super 100s" or 120s and 150s were an indication of a finer wool thread count and thus a better...
It is in good shape but seems excessive to me IMHO.

My apologies to anyone here if it's their hat but I still think its too high...
I found this at GoodWill today. It fits perfect, no scratches or tears in the lining or hide. Pretty sure it's goat with a heavy duty Talon zip. I'm not that familiar with their products so any info on it's style or make and original cost would be appreciated. It's has some insulation between...
Even though I don't wear western type clothes, I couldn't resist buying this today. I saw it at a thrift shop and it reminded me of all the old westerns I watched growing up. It doesn't look like it was worn very much. Does anyone here wear this type of western shirts??
It fit me...
