Just received my second Fed IV...this one has less taper than the first one i purchased AND it says Federation IV on the sweat band. the first one is 8 years old and fine...just wanted a new one. The first was ordered as a Fed IV but the wording on the Sweat band said Federation. -

Just bought this older Mitsubishi 60 inch rear projection TV for $40! This thing is huge! 5 feet tall and 5 feet wide and picture is great! Still a great deal even if it only lasts a year!- chum

My Fed IV appears to have a taper in open crown state...it looks different to me compared to other pics on this site. What do you guys think? The lettering on the sweat band says "FEDERATION" ! Did I get an older model? If so, Hats direct screwed me! -

Band ribbon? I thought it was in the back of the hat! How the heck do you line that up with your nose? I just now, used a heavy dose of distilled water and a balloon to put my Fed IV back to open crown to redo the shape and would like some more info on this. I have a very non symmetrical head... -

First...thanks for saying "nice hat"! The hat is not fading at all...the camera flash makes it almost look like Moonstone...in most lighting the hat is a basic dark grey. Lighting makes a huge difference. -

It does taper like you said and camera makes it look more pronounced. If I take out the front pinch it magicly goes away. Do you guys think it looks bad? I never paid attention before... -
