    Missing Loungers Whom You Miss.

Hi all, I haven't logged in here in ages, but my sweetie johnnydnh is here daily and keeps me posted. I have been wondering what happened to: Daisy B., Jitterbug Gal, ITG, DeccoDoll, Magneto, Lauren Henline, and Rosie?? I used to enjoy seeing all the nice things Daisy would buy in the "show us...

Where were you on July 20, 1969?

I was 2 years old, and my baby sister, my mom, and I were living with my grandparents because my father was away in Vietnam. I don't remember anything about that time of my life.

    Curly Haired Catastrophes?

I agree with not brushing curly hair. I use a wide tooth comb (or pick) when it is wet to get the tangles out and that is it.

    Favorite Vintage Perfumes

I purchased some Fracas at Sephora and I really like it. It is very gardenia which I love. I wasn't as impressed with the Chanel Gardenia, and Joy is still my favorite.

    Revolutionary Road

I saw the preview over the summer while watching Mad Men, so I got the book and read it. It is a depressing story so I do expect the movie to be as well. It isn't playing here until this coming weekend but I am looking forward to it.

    Favorite Vintage Perfumes

I just received a bottle of Joy for Christmas from my sweetie. I just LOVE it. I like light floral scents (mostly gardenia and tuberose). I was able to find a sample of Chanel Gardenia on Ebay and am waiting for it to arrive this week. I think I will try Fracas next.

    Kirby Vacuums

It is heavy, but not hard to push at all. It also comes apart to become a hand vacuum so it isn't so bad.

    Kirby Vacuums

I recently bought a used one on Ebay for $100, I think it's from the 80's or 90's. So far I love it. I also bought a box of all kinds of attachments for about $25. I like them because they look more like vacuum cleaners used to look, rather than the ugly plastic things available now.

    Cloth Diapers?

When it's your own sweet little infant the ick factor goes away. I used cloth for the first few months for both my girls. Having a service was really nice for part of the time, but I did end up having to wash diapers when I didn't have service and it wasn't so bad.

    Mammograms

I turned 40 last year and had my first mammogram a few months ago. I have implants, but they found a way to stretch the tissue away from the implants and squish away. It did hurt and I was afraid my implants would burst.

    Art Deco Architecture -Photos-

Here is the courtyard this is now our favorite place to stay in SF. It is in the Sunset district, which is mostly residential so very quiet. The L train runs right in front of the motel (they provide ear plugs for the noise but I didn't mind it a bit) which you can take all the way to the...

our weekend at the Ocean Park Motel in SF This place was great. For the most part the room was original looking and the bathroom had the original black and pink tiles and mosaic tiles on the floor.

TCM - Where should they cut it off?

I have been disappointed in TCM for the last couple of years. I am one of the few on their message boards screaming about the influx of newer movies but no one else seems to mind them. The excuse is that classic movies is not a time period, so there can be new classics, plus they have to...
