    Akubra Heritage Fawn vs Tawny Fawn

    Taupe/Tawny is very similar in color to a typical cardboard box. I've seen people compare it to Hot Chocolate, too. Heritage is a nice color. I wish they made a Campdraft version.

    I have a bunch of Pendleton shirts. After a few washes and some wear they don't itch at all. That said, unless I spill something on them or really work up a sweat, they can go a year or two before a wash is even necessary. I love wool.

    I'm doubting that their site is very current. Overall design is dated and that list of available colors is straight out of 2008. Worth sending them an email, though.

    For those looking for a higher rise 505 type of fit I'd recommend Norman Porter's NP02 cut. Probably an inch or two higher rise than current 505's. They're a boutique maker, so not so cheap, but really well made...

    Add the Lawson into the mix as well. Heritage felt, same crown as the Banjo, 3" brim, braided leather band. FWIW - I've found the Heritage felt to withstand repeated exposure to the elements MUCH better than the Imperial felt.

    Up on the block is a fine Whiskey VS. Beaver. 2 5/8" underwelted brim, 5 1/2" open crown. Fits me like a glove - I wear 7 1/2 in modern Stetsons and 61cm in Akubra, both with a little room. Asking $275 shipped USA in the VS hat box it came in.

    Was it ever stated to whom the Stephen Toohey 4am jackets were for? I'd assume it was Iron Heart, since I remember when they first started selling Aero jackets - their turnaround time for delivery was a matter of days, not weeks.

    NEW STETSON 2015 Dress catalog

    Word of warning - whether it be called the Runabout or Traveler, this hat cannot take much weather at all! After having it a few months I got caught in a light rain for a few minutes. Felt shrunk in spots.
