For those living near Harpers Ferry, WV, a History Channel WW II mini-series needs extras (civilian and military). I wish I could...and I live only 20 miles away.

I'm not sure if anyone else has brought up this website. You're able to download free, hi-res files of quite a few vintage posters for printing.

I found this 1940s reverse-paint frame who knows how long ago. It's in pretty bad shape and measures only 2 3/4 x 3 1/2. Don't know who young Romeo is...;)

The LOC has posted another great new batch of photos from the 1940s New York City jazz scene. Incredible! :eusa_clap

I have just recently discovered this piece of history of U.S. war ships painted with modern art design schemes to confuse enemy submarines. Although mainly WWI, it did have some limited use during WWII. If I had a large yaught I'd certainly give it one of these paint designs...:rolleyes...
I'm sure there's a thread about this somewhere. I just can't find it....[huh]
While out on a stroll tonight I saw this at a very nice gourmet restaurant in town. That's not very gentlemanly of him...

Sorry to walk in here like this (I knocked first :o ). Yesterday I found a great Eddie Bauer white dress shirt at a thrift store. The label had my measurments, but did not indicate mens or womens. I tried it on today, but was a bit surprised that the buttons buttoned the opposite way. The shirt...
Pay for shipping and you can have them. There's LOTS more than pictured. I'm moving and I'm moving LIGHT. They've just been in a box for a long time.

Hate to part with this. Consists of dresser, dresser w/mirror, vanity w/mirror, vanity seat and (not pictured) matching bed frame. They all have some scuff and scratch marks. $350. This has to be a local sale for pick up as it would be nearly impossible to ship.

Plays music clips from classic films. It's fun for a trivia game with co-workers...not while on the clock, of course. ;)

Anyone know anything about this painting? I found this very high quality professionally framed 20x24 print at the Goodwill today for $7. I've actually never seen a print of such subject matter at any thrift store before. It was to good to pass up even though I have no wall space to hang it (I...
