I heard the same exact thing with regards to the Federation (that it fits/runs a tad larger than normal). I'm OK with that. The "lower crown" feel just sealed the deal... I WANT ONE NOW!! :eusa_clap- HLSheppard

I usually get 99% favorable compliments, however, once - one of my employees was walking out of work behind me (I was actually wearing my Art Fawcett Sportaire as opposed to an "Indy hat," but) and said (in a perfect movie accent): "No time for love, Dr. Jones!" Had he not done it so...- HLSheppard

The temperature scanners are a reality, folks... While I won't claim to know how the technology works, I do know that it came in to "fashion" after the SARS scares... Hi am looking VERY seriously at the charcoal Banjo Peterson. I've been wanting to check out their Heritage felt and since I already have a Federation (regular) with a gray Adventurebilt on the way - it would seem a bit redundant... Have a hat that will fit a 24" / 60cm-61cm head that you don't want?
I have two - both with approx. 2" brims. One is a 1969 dark brown Mallory and the other is a sandstone colored Dobbs with a wide ribbon. The Dobbs is listed as a 7 1/2 (which I am) but is EASILY a 7 5/8. The Mallory is a 7 5/8 and true to size. Both are in very nice shape, although not...- HLSheppard

It's not hard to keep a pipe dry. You smoke SLOWLY and you smoke quality tobacco (not the heavily cased, aromatic stuff). That goop is a result of the excess moisture caused by the "topping" that gives it the "amaretto, vanilla, caramel, Magilla Gorilla flavoring... :rolleyes: A nice...- HLSheppard

Is there a way to shape the brim a bit (as in snap the back UP and leave the sides and front alone)? I have a Tilley winter hat and it is GREAT for snowblowing, etc.- HLSheppard
