How to tuck a blousey vintage or repro dress shirt

I'm also with Edward on this one, I like and prefer the looser fit on that style of shirt. I believe they tended to make shirts with a more generous fit back in the day, and to my mind far better than the wretched slim shirts so prevalent now.

Any hot tips for 40s-style sweater vests (repro)?

I've had a couple of Fairisles from these chaps, very nice they are too. https://www.originalblues.co.uk/michael-ross-mens-409-c.asp

    Fountain Pen

It's easy to knock cheap Chinese Ebay knock offs but do a bit of googling. I've got several Chinese pens and they look lovely and write beautifully, and for around fiver each you cant go wrong.

Everyone looks good in a Spearpoint Collar

Can't argue with that Matt although if i tried to drink a pint in my local using chopsticks my shirt and trousers would soon be ruined.

    The "Annoying Phrase" Thread

Just don't get me started on all the things I hear that annoy me! My current hate is often heard by news reporters on the TV and they should know better. Suddenly every surface under your feet has become a floor. If someone is hit by a speeding car they're left laying "on the floor" Athletes...

Where's all this intolerance coming from??

And of course tolerance is open to interpretation. Example, a couple of days ago a film called Blue Story was shown in Birmingham. It's a film about black gangs. The cinema was invaded by different factions of black gangs wielding machetes. "We will not tolerate this" said the cinema chain...

Where's all this intolerance coming from??

Of course everyone is all in favour of diversity, equality, freedom of expression and inclusivity, there's not an organisation or university in the country that doesn't trumpet that mantra. Unless of course you happen to disagree with them, then they're not quite so welcoming of dissident or...

Men's Cologne / Men Of ( STYLE ) THE FEDORA LOUNGE What Are You Wearing ?

Although my favourite house is Penhaligons recently I've been buying a few oil based Attars of middle eastern origin from EBay. About £2.50 each. As with all fragrances, some appeal and some don't and I've had the odd one that hasn't suited me. However, I have found some that are absolutely...

    Chinos, help!

I've several trousers and chinos from Landsend and they're not too bad. And they don't cost a fortune either. And they're in the UK as well. https://www.landsend.co.uk/Men/Trousers_Jeans/Chinos/ix-11385

I like the sword stick Matt, from what I saw the last time I was there that'll be a very handy accessory at the Bus Station.

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

As always you both look utterly charming. It's a great experience travelling on such a famous railway train. I had the pleasure of doing the same thing last year at Peterborough.

    Great Classic Pocket Knives

I love those Lagouille knives, I have one myself actually. Not a wise move to have one on you in the UK these days as there's so many knife murders. Interestingly one of our major supermarkets called ASDA has banned the sale of single knives. However they will sell you a multi-pack which of...
