Hats direct has the moonstone Stylemasters in stock. Or at least they say they do.
It's all about shape. I'm 6 foot and 185 with fairly long face, a goatee, and fair skin. My usual hat is an Akubra Sydney with a 2.5" brim. I'm sure I could go a little smaller or bigger, but the stingy brim stuff at department stores looks really silly on me. The wider brim balances out my...
I don't know about new productions using The Shadow, but I've been enjoying Old Time Radio recordings from the late 30s in my commutes to and from work. Good stuff.
Lots of rain and wind in Delaware. We lost power at 5pm on Monday night and didn't get it back until 8am this morning. But we've been pretty lucky. Our only loss is a bunch of food in the fridge that spoiled.
The felt on my Sydney isn't especially thin, just very soft and pliable. I'd like to put a c-crown crease into it, but the raised center portion just won't stay up. So it's center dent instead which is fine.

The Adventurer is quite wide brimmed even compared to a Campdraft or Federation. The Sydney/Fedora is probably the way to go. I'd go with moonstone or one of the brown shades as carbon grey is very dark. You might want to look at the Stylemaster too. It's a very similar hat shape to the...
Ditto Dr. Strange. I have a Sydney, not a Stylemaster but they are very similar hats. Mine is Carbon Gray. Most people think it's black until they see it in bright sunlight or next to something true black. Then they think it used to be black and faded slightly in the wash. ;)
Akubra Stylemaster or Sydney. I have a Sydney and I really like it although the charcoal/carbon gray is quite dark. You can probably make a Federation work too as the crown height is really all in the bash.
Any decent men's clothing store can measure you. You actually shouldn't measure yourself as you generally want to be in a relaxed and fairly neutral body position. Measuring yourself will typically have you using muscles to move the tape around and will throw off the measurements slightly...
Try calling them. But if that doesn't work then call your credit card company. Contest the restocking fee and let them know what happened. Your credit card company will have a lot more clout with the Fedora Store than you will.
