I wore a Milan Straw & a Panama Straw last week with temps in the 80's.
As our weather here is milder than the east coast for example, tell your by the season/calender friends you prefer to dress by the thermometer rather than the calender.
Its ironic there is so much hat hater speak here:D
It may not be your style, but so what, 10 gallon hats aren't my style either but I wouldn't rant about.

I saw somewhere someone sprayed starch on the brim, would that work? Is that almost like stiffener?

in the one picture you see a couple of guys wearing baseball caps in white suits, I decided last year to 'Style" it up several notches, :D.
