I suspect I'm not the only one who saw this, and over the past few years I've been curious about these particular tools. Every now and then one or two of them pop up. I've never seen a complete set with instructions so I couldn't resist. A Google search of Mars Tool Co. brings no information...
I was looking to get some more Picard's and saw on ebay some old in metal cans. The product was dark brown. At the company they told me it used to contain pine tar. I was thinking if you wanted to slowly darken it might be a way to go. Anyone have experience with this?
Stole this on ebay and I'm trying not to be anxious while I'm waiting for it. As been well discussed the fit/sizing on these can be a crap shoot. These pics are the seller's, I'll post better later. Ok, a blue label probably 90's apprentice made before the label was relegated to so called...
At first glance I thought this was another '50's hybrid. But as you can see although it says American made it has a YKK #10 zipper. the pocket zip says USA. Looks to me maybe 1980's? Nice hide, can't be sure what it is and has kind of a tea core thing beginning. Solid jacket very heavy...
When I first saw the seller’s pics I thought it was a Windward with a different label. Not so, upon further examination. Same basic pattern but a horse of a different color. I have a Windward with the single slash chest zipper pocket. It’s a heavier piece. This seems like an earlier model...
Found this on the bay. button in wool liner, and collar. Riri zipper,Had button on epaulets and one was missing so I removed it. My guess 50’s. Anyone know this piece?

I bought this with bad pictures on a hunch. The double stud bars on the epaulets peaked my interest. Tanaka says this is usually on Canadian jackets. It appears to be horsehide and in lovely condition. All six zippers are marked CONMAR. The lining is a blue grey wool, and the size 40 tag is in...
Grabbed this on a whim because it looked interesting. Two front flaps with zips, no side pockets. Reminds me of Police jackets. Seems to be Horse, could be Steer.

Ok.....Last week when I contacted the seller to purchase the M422a (Help me identify this G-1). They had just put this one up. I said I'll take both! The M422a swims on me,so it's gonna be a catch and release. I'm normally a size 40, or a wartime 42. This B & T AN 6552 fits me like a glove in...
Ok... these are not my pictures, looks early to me. Knits replaced, Talon pull looks 50's but could be a replacement. Pockets remind me of W&G, Monarch, etc.

When I first received this jacket a week ago, it was so stiff I was afraid to try it on for fear of breaking it in half! So for several days I gave it multiple applications of Leatherique rejuvenator. This is the emergency stuff, (Aero used to sell it) I estimate another 6 months and the...
My latest score is this 1974 French PN leather jacket. This was almost certainly worn by a Mirage pilot. There are boatloads of copies, fakes, civilian, private purchase etc. There are companies making them right now, and if memory serves didn't G&B used to make one? This is the real deal and now...
