I had these made about 3 years ago but haven't worn them more than 15-20 times, and not at all in the last year or so. I found them to be slightly tighter across the instep than my black US11 Boss and Jobmaster boots, maybe because the harness toe makes them a bit narrower, so wear the blacks...
This is the version with the large patch side entry hip pockets and small patch pocket on top of the right hand one. There is also an inner pocket which is large enough for my quite big LG G5 phone.
It's a canvas outer with cotton liner.
In very good condition with no marks or tears, I'm...
This doesn't get worn as much as it should, hence the sale. It's maybe unique, as it's not standard colours, being black Melton wool with cordovan FQHH trim on the shoulders, sleeve ends, pockets and half belt. Lining is black cotton drill. There's only two outer pockets, no inner.
Size 38"...
I'm in a remote part of the wild west of Scotland for the weekend and saw this little advert for Harris Wool socks, made in the Hebrides by a real Hebridean, for only £5 (inc. shipping) in the local paper. It's so low tech that it's communication by post only, which I find hugely refreshing in...
Thought a thread devoted to longer jackets might be useful, as most jackets here seem to be short. It would be good if others could add theirs, no matter the make.
To kick off, here's comparison shots of my two Aero Stockmans, black and cordovan. The black is the thin black layer which wears...
It's FQHH, despite the title. This was my favourite jacket for a while, but I've put on a few pounds since then and I no longer wear it. It's been broken in so is softer than you'd think and is an absolutely lovely jacket to look at. The shade is one of the darker cordovans. It'll go up on...
I got this just over a year ago (it's the revised improved model) but hardly wear it as I have so many jackets. It's a 42, but as the pit size is 23", I'd say it fits better as a 40 or even a 38 for a looser fit. I had an extra 0.5" added to the back and sleeves, so the back is about 25.5" and...
This is my second Teamster after I stupidly got rid of my first one on a whim. It's black FQHH with an unfastened inside pocket (thanks to Fanch for that idea a couple of years ago). Another great job by Julie, who's made most of my Aeros, so many thanks to her.
The main change is that I...
Aero Premier Range 1920s Work Coat, 40" chest, Cordovan, Black Melton wool lining.
I'm selling this because I'm just not wearing it as much as I thought I would, and tend to choose my Stockman in preference, so it's time to move it on. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and has a nice...
I think Ciano Farmer are worth a mention. They're another American Kickstarter mob (from Texas), but the difference here is that their prices are sensible (not ridiculously low, leading to massive delays) and the delivery times are a refreshing 6 weeks or so.
These are their Japanese Blood Red...
This is an updated repost as the original had a misleading title I couldn't change. I've also reduced the price.
£40 to the UK, inc. p&p, or $70 to the US inc p&p, paid as gift through Paypal.
Anyway, worn once and washed once, these were simply too small for me. The tagged size is 33...
I stupidly bought these a size too small and they've only been worn once. The title is wrong and I'm asking the mods to change it. The waist actually measures a smidge under 16.5" when flat and not stretched, with a 34 leg. So probably more of a comfy 32 or neat 33.
£50 inc. p&p to the UK...
I've been wearing my two Stockmans quite a bit recently because it's winter now, so thought I might as well show a few pics as to how one has aged over the last two years. This is the Cordovan one and I love it like my first born.:) I always feel the longer jackets are underrepresented here...
I can't resist button jackets so when this came out I had to have it, even though it's broadly similar to my two Stockmans. It's from the new Premier range, which means more money, a slimmer fit, a neater collar and double stitching around the edges and collar.
Slim is certainly the word for...
About two months ago I got a size 40, but the neatness of the fit kept niggling at me and it just didn't feel "right", so I traded it back in and went up a size. I also added 0.5" to the standard 42" back (now 26" instead of 25" on the 40") and sleeve lengths, and am now so much happier with...
My latest acquisition arrived today, an Aero Pre-War Irvin, size 40. standard lengths. I've no real interest in accuracy, but gather from comments on here from those much more knowledgeable that Aero has upped their game on their sheepskins, so I'm happy enough with that.
There's obviously...
My latest acquisition arrived yesterday - Aero Maxwell, black FQHH, 40", no mods, made by Julie, who's done 4 of my jackets now. The lining is just a cheap offcut I chose when I visited the factory, but I wanted something light coloured. I had ordered a 38", but when I visited Aero and tried...
Luckily Aero forgot to bolt their door today, so I was able to disrupt their Christmas party to pick up my new Dustbowl and Wool HB.
Having learned my lesson, I sized down on these, both being 38". They're a trim fit, but I need a change after my slightly larger cuts. Specs are absolutely...
As I said on the Gustin thread, these are way too small for me, despite the measurements on the site seeming to match other jeans I have. Not helped by having them washed before I'd even tried them on, as I was working away from home when they arrived. I had them washed, as when I got a pair...
