    The Man Who Designed America

http://www.life.com/image/73574583/in-gallery/35402/#index/0 With a quick snippet: Modeling the Future Arguably the most influential industrial designer of the 20th century, French-born Raymond Loewy (1893 - 1986) fashioned or utterly re-imagined a dizzying array of products and brands...

    Canadians in the Lounge?

Dirty, dirty Slurrey. This is pretty much where dignity and style go to die in a dark alley.

Michael Jackson Dead at age 50

Weeeeeeeelll, I guess that's it then. Rest in peace and all that.

What do you do for Living?

Currently just a humble security guard, trying to fight his way up the food chain and get accepted to a police department. VPD, VicPD, or maybe Abbotsford PD. Perhaps even RCMP, but from what I hear there's far more of backstabbing and office politics involved than in city-wide forces.

    local Art Deco architecture

The Marine Building of Vancouver, British Columbia. I should really go and take some pictures, but I'm not sure if I'd get kicked out onto the street if I tried. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_Building

    Apartment necessities

A towel. You can wrap it round you for warmth; sunbathe on it; sleep under it; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wave it in emergencies as a distress signal; and wrap it round your head to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal because this is such a mindboggingly...

    My dream house

Certainly a far cry from those aweful mini-mansions that I'm forced to look at here.

    My dream house

What a great house. Though she could do with a bit of love and some handiwork.

    Crazy Italians

Okay, I don't mean crazy in a bad way. I was bumbling along through google when I stumbled across this man's website. Now to me he's a bit of a snob but what struck me was his write-up on Interno 8. What specifically got were the shirts... "some cuffs were cut to Art Deco angles. Another seemed...

    In the Year Two-Thousannnnd

Well, as Dr.Frink said... "I predict that thirty years from now computers will be ten times as big as this room and -so- expensive only the 7 richest people will be able to afford one."

What Is The Strangest Thing You've Ever Seen?

Hah, my dad told me about that story when I was a kid. He even pulled out some pictures of their rusted up Datsun that had been pretty much beaten to death by the hail. It was replaced by a VW Golf and three years later I was born.

Is Josh Bernstein the New Indiana Jones ???

Yeah, he is. In the advertisements and previews for his show that I've seen they've tried to "Jones it up" so to speak. Also, I'm so sorry for that horrible, horrible pun.

Not entirely vintage, but pretty cool - and for little more than $20.

Typical, and when I'm completely flat broke too of all things. That is a beautiful looking coat, and for 25 pounds you can't really go wrong.

    How popular was/is your name?

Maximilian was pretty much off the map until the 80's and 90's. Even then it only managed to claw its way up to an amazing standing of.... 574. Oh well... guess that makes me special or something? Edit: Okay, so I just checked my middle name... looks like I was on the train to Genericville...

WWII Marshals of the Soviet Union

"Komrad Zhukov, I still see a spot of fabric that doesn't have some form of medal or badge on it." Not to say he wasn't a good general or anything... but damn were the Soviets ever crazy about awarding medals. I wonder if some of those have chocolate centers?

Strange Superstitions and The Superstitious Among Us

It's not really as much superstition as it is being wary. I never, ever walk directly under a bird. Or at least under and facing its rear.

    Musicovery

Again, another thing I stumbled across by chance. For those of you who work on computers and can play music (or are allowed to for that matter) musicovery should help make that workday pass by a little quicker. http://musicovery.com/index.php?ct=us It's free, it's fast and you've got a...

True... then of course there are those who are simply incompetent. Plus, I like being able to see in person what it is I'm buying. "GREAT SUIT! LOOK! VINTAGE RETRO EMO ROCKABILLY HIPSTER 1960'S!!!!!!"
