Vintage straws as viable as vintage felts?
I've been gunshy about buying vintage straws. I just figured they don't age as well, and I'll end up disappointed. But is this just ignorance, and if you know what to look for there are bargains to be found with some confidence? Where are the "sweet spots" in vintage straws? Thanks! -

What is a Panama "reinforced brim edge"?
I often see this on ebay and on online sites. The ad text says the edge of the brim is reinforced - but not how. Does it mean turned under and sewn, or backwoven, or something else entirely, or nothing at all? Thanks! -

Whippet "factory" standard crown and brim shapes?
I've dug out several nice Whippet pics from FL. But I'm trying to determine what the "factory" crown was - center dent, dent with front pinch, teardrop? I've seen all these on FL... Also, I see in a lot of pics that the rear bound edge is turned up. Not a pencil roll exactly, just 45-90 degree... -

Bleeding felt dye - help!

New 50's Moss Resistol
