    Bill Kelso Star A-2

Okay Fellas...... I received my new BK Roughwear 27752 two weeks ago. Fantastic jacket! ...and my experience with their customer service was excellent. I'm in the process of posting up a review....unfortunately the first batch of photos didn't quite work due to camera issues...So I'll take some...

Vintage denim hunting in Spitalfields market

I visit Spitalfields regularly as it's only 5 minutes from where I work. As previously pointed out, Thursday is the best day for vintage, though I have to say there really isn't a great deal of anything special in terms of denim....always plenty of Levis Type111 jackets and I've seen enough of...

Horween USA and Aero Leather Joint Statement

Hey Frank.... Now that I've also seen the pics .....Fella, if I saw you coming down the street in that jacket, I would have to look at it for an hour before I'd notice that shoulder crease! It's like staring at the Taj Mahal and then eventually drawing one's eye to a small crack in the masonry...

    Plain Teamster

Saw Dav's jacket on the other thread and commented there....looks even better here with all the angle shots! ....looks "the business"! Great Cut...Great Leather! ...Stunningly majestic with a dash of menace!

Horween USA and Aero Leather Joint Statement

Hey Frank! Just caught up with the news about your Teamster arriving. Even without seeing pictures of you wearing it, I'd say keep it & give it some time and wear (when the weather permits)...let the stiffness and all the waxes break down so the hide will start molding itself to your shoulders...

    Eastman Roadmaster

A Very Cool looking jacket, Tomek! It's a great fit and the colour really makes it stand out ...in a good way! Post up some more pics of it after you have beaten it up with a few months of wear. It would be interesting to see how quickly the patina starts to develop. Enjoy!

converting a leather jacket to a winter jacket

Schitzo... As a fellow Londoner and Aero aficionado....I inclined to think a shearling lining might be a bit too warm & snug for most winter days down here....apart from today!:D Throughout winter my daily jacket is the Aero long Half-Belt with medium tartan lining....I also have detachable...

In pictures: Aero 38-1711-P Type A-2

Nice Choice in Jacket, Sir J. I'm still going through the process of getting an A-2 built by Aero, and the Seal Jerky HH with Rust knits is exactly what I've had in mind! You're right about the Jerky being almost black...the sample I was sent was the darkest brown I've ever seen! What I...

    New Aero Pioneer in Kudu

What a great pick, Cooperson! Perfect fit on you, great looking leather and I love the seam lines on it. ...its the Mutts Nuts & The Cat's Meow! If I hadn't bought a LHB last year, I'd be certainly looking at one of these...though if I recall ...weren't they only available in smaller sizes...

How do you know when a jacket is broken in?

Wonderfully expressed AF. Reminds me of a old leather bike jacket I still have in my loft/attic. Bought it when I was 17 and lived in it for the next 8 years until I couldn't fit into it anymore. I occasionally pull it out to survey its scars & "trophies" ;)....memories of wild rock'n'roll...

How do you know when a jacket is broken in?

Yes Frank...I guess it helps being "a big unit" when it comes to wearing one of these jackets....mine also has a pair of detachable mouton collars that I alternate with (Black & Rust). That tips the weight over 5kg. fortunately for me the fit is perfect, so no issues on the cut. For you, I...

How do you know when a jacket is broken in?

Yeah....It IS a lovely leather ...though not for the faint-hearted. I could see it was going to take a considerable amount of commitment to wear one of these bad-boys...though I like a challenge! ;) It's all down to the individual and I know It WILL eventually give in to my...

How do you know when a jacket is broken in?

My Aero Long Half Belt, which I took delivery of in Jan 2012, was ordered as Cordovan FQHH jacket. However it recently transpired that this beast is indeed Steer ...or as affectionately termed here on the FL ..."Storse" ;) I loved the jacket anyhow, so it was never a consideration for me to...

Ordering A-2 jackets from the US

Not sure about the cost of importing a leather jacket ...though this online calculator may help you. http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/ I've bought plenty of clothing online though, from the USA into the UK ...and the costs can vary considerably depending on how...

AERO Bronco - this is how it looks on me, PICS

Thanks Jan! Helps plenty! I've been "working out" for many years though nowadays I would probably be somewhere between normal & bodybuilder. The Bronco sounds like it may be a good possibility for me. and if the pattern is tapered around the belly...good! I just didn't want to end up getting an...

AERO Bronco - this is how it looks on me, PICS

Hey Jan..... Very Nice jacket! I myself, am in the process of ordering an A-2 from Aero. I've had some hide samples they sent me late last year to help me select. I'm still trying to also decide on the contract/style to go for....the Bronco was a strong contender, can I ask you how do you find...

    Evil Denim Los Angeles

I purchased a couple of pairs of EVIL "501s" about 6 or 7 years ago .....for around £60 each here in the UK. I dyed one pair over with black to achieve a much darker denim, which turned out really well. I still have both pairs and they have both aged beautifully and going strong! Great patina...

    London retro shops recommendations?

Hey Sloan! ....As a person who has trekked all over Camden Market for two decades plus...I can probably give you some advice there and say that whilst these days the majority of stalls/units/shops there are... rubbish! ...you can save yourself plenty of time by concentrating on just the Camden...
