My grandmother died 2 weeks before my 21st birthday & my cousin and his 2 best friends were 2 years older than I was. I have met so many hateful/snobbish/stupid (etc) old people in my life--I refuse to believe they suddenly changed when they turned 65. They were not saints just because they fought in WW2 or jitterbugged.- Miss Brill

Softening wool with hair conditioner
I've used hair conditioner because I ran out of fabric softener & ended up having to rewash the things again--because it left a white film. I've found the best way to soften clothes (even heavy denim) is to soak it for a night in fabric softener (and water). I HATE the smell of most fabric...- Miss Brill

Your favorite body lotions?
I can use St. Ives Swiss Vanilla one day & still be soft a few days later. Other lotions just wash off, but it seems to actually moisturize.- Miss Brill
