Lewis Leathers, who make classic British Motorcycling Gear have updated their website..check out the new Jackets section..so much easier to use and navigate!
Lewis's is a small company, run with a lot of love and attention to detail, and make all their gear here in the UK.. it's all beautiful...
Hi, You're best to send them your exact measurements (Talk to Amanda at Aero)..and they will size you.
They are very good, and on the one occasion I had a sizing problem with a jacket of theirs, they replaced it no questions asked, and very quickly.
My Aero Bootlegger's a 38" and...
OG 107s... usually in Olive green rip stop cotton, prior to the woodland camo issue.
The early issue versions did sport far more slanted pockets, like the WW2 issue Para jacket though.

Peter (Jackson) is obsessed with WW1 and 2 gear..so everything will be correct... The photos my friend sent all looked great. (and this was all just research gear for the costume dept.)
Schott remake many of their classic jackets for the Japanese market..and they are great.. (and correspondingly expensive)
On a trip around Aoyama, I saw some great Schott/Beck jackets (Made in the USA by Schott).. They were all more tailored and had far better finishes than their stuff I've...
I've just talked to a mate of mine who's working on it, and it's on hold, as there's script revisions.
I have mentioned that if they need any help on Equipment/gear, I happen to know a bunch of very knowledgeable collectors. :D
LW make quality stuff.. but it's almost too good.
Their HH is incredibly heavy and stiff. As an MC jacket it makes it hard work to wear practically.
I've owned many original 40-60s Buco HH jackets and none are the weight or stiffness of LW.
I've always found Stuart (the owner) very...
The alpaca is great..My lining is 2 years old, has constant wear and is fine.
Some people have commented that they find the alpaca scratchy (I don't), but just thought I should mention this if you're only wearing it with a t-shirt..
As my Mum would say..wrap up warm, ye'll catch your...
Many Skinheads in the '80s got 'Made in England' tattooed across their foreheads to show their 'english pride'.
My friend TimTom had 'Made in Hong Kong' across the back of his neck as a humourous rebuttal of this nationalism. lol
I like the idea of putting it on the bottom of the foot...
A massive german bomb was exploded late last year close to where I live in Bow, East London. Just along side the canal in Pudding Lane.
We still live with the legacy of WW2...
Well..I certainly put nothing on my the jacket... You don't need to condition new jackets! Ah well.. bad luck etc...
I really like the seal brown colour myself.. think that'll be the next purchase!
I have a number of friends who've got involved in re enacting..and I can appreciate the appreciation of history... but there is an element of glamour many have with the fascists.
My friend Keith joined a SS reenacting group (Who all have to have the proper haircut, drilling etc.. and to be...
Hello sir,
The cordovan does mark easier then some of the other finishes from Aero.
I believe it's the way the leathers been treated, the surface is not'shiny' like the brown and black HH, but more of a matt finish, and in areas where you have a lot of rub (IE - Carrying a bag -...
I can highly recommend Aero's alpaca lining, it's hard wearing, light and warm..perfect for London.
I'd go wit the brown myself.. The Cordovan finish can rub (transfer colour) and also wears badly if you regularily carry heavy satchels or bags.
I'll be interested to see how it turns out, Sir!
as you mentioned, most of them make you look like a lost Power ranger... which is so unfortunate.. I'd love to see a suit styled on a 1940s Dispatch rider, with the built in kevlar hidden etc..
It's a shame that most bike companies think we...
