The Hat is on the move!
I am so very sorry for the delay! I was hospitalized 4 days after recieving the hat. I had asked for it to be mailed on, but saw it was still here when I came home Tuesday. My wife mailed it yesterday.
Again, I am very sorry for the delay.
My choice has been ...
The Tilley LTM3 AIRFLO has served me well for over 2 years now. I have worn it for everything from mowing fields on a tractor to swiming with the grandkids. It cleans up nicely by hand washing. It has lived up to all of Tilley's advertising. I hope to never have to use...
I went to buy a TH3 today and was told they had been discontinued. (I had seen one there 3 weeks ago.) Also, they are not on the Tilley website. Was there a problem with this model or were the just not popular enough?:(
I seem to remember a thread a long time ago talking about Tilley sizes...
Gotta love a Tilley!
I have a Tilley LTM3 AirFlo. I use this hat a lot. I have about 20 hats to choose from, but I find the Tilley on my head more often than not. I know nothing about the other brand you mentioned. I'm sure you won't be disappionted with a Tilley. They are well worth the money!
What ever is comfortable.
In the Florida panhandle, it was around 90 degrees today. Wore a Stetson Downs in dark brown with no problem. Tomorrow I my be in a panama or a Tilley. I say if your comfortable in it and want to wear it, wear it. :cheers1: :cheers1: The fashion police have never...
OR with brim snap
Only have 2 Open Roads. The tan one in the avitar is always worn with the front brim turned down. Soon it will be sporting a 1 1/2 inch ribbon and bow. I havn't decided how I want to shape the silver belly.
Has the Idea man struck gold again?
Shamus, This sounds like a great idea to me. It almost seems to me that someone was already putting together a history of hat companys. Is that still in the works?
Moving right along ...
I would be glad to help move it through the panhandle. Actual location is about 25 miles east of Tallahassee, Florida. :cheers1:
Event Forum?
Why not start a thread/sign-up list in the Events forum? There might possably be some folks that don't view (or view with regularity) the hats forum that would be interested in helping bridge some of the gaps around the country/ world.:cheers1:
Google scala-nuova hat. Then click on third result. On the left side of the page select Trachtenhute. Seventh one on the page is Zimmermannshut.
I tried several times, but for some reason I can't get the page to translate. mabey you'll have better luck.
Not much help ...
Not-Bogart13, I went through that scene and a few others. I only found two times during the movie you could see inside the hat.
. The liner does seem black with a plastic cover. The logo and writing look silver (incl. the circle around them). However, I never could get a...
It's interesting you should mention this.
This movie has been on my shelf since it came out on DVD. Yesterday was the first time I've had a chance to watch it. While I enjoyed the movie, I couldn't take my eyes off the hat. Hopefully someone knows the origin of this hat.:)
Who is/was...
I just don't know ...
For some reason the guy in the ad looks odd to me. However, the picture of Root looks normal with the hat that way. I mean, it doesn't jump right out that the brim is not in what I'm used to seeing as a normal snap brim fedora style. I know what it is. Root has his hat...
Never seen that before.
I keep wanting to reach out and straighten his hat for him.
Could that have been an attempt to revive a muskateer look? Hopefully, someone will really know what this company was up to. My guess is they might have done it just to see if it caught on. Setting...
