This beauty was made by Barry Simonds of Simonds Bespoke Caps and is too big for me. :( He has given me his blessings to sell it on.
Simonds has stated that he doesn't think he'll ever make this style again due to its difficulty, so this is a truly one-of-a-kind cap!
Vintage 1960's...
Vintage find: yes. Vintage deal: not really. But I've never seen another cap in this style. The buckle on top might have sold me, but the size of the brim is amazing...
Perhaps I simply missed it somewhere else in the lounge, but as my collection of new and vintage caps grows, my issue of how to store them is becoming a little bit serious. Here in Sydney we can have some seasonal trouble with wool-eating moths, so hanging them on a wall is a no-no, and I don't...
