I decided I should throw my hat into the ring too.
Be sure to check out my other Etsy listings as well.

Hey everyone,
I'd like to rekindle this discussion. Namely, in regards to cleaning and re-whitening Palm Beach fabric.
Palm Beach is a blend of wool and linen, which means Oxi-Clean will digest it to some extent. However a lot of people swear Oxi-Clean will work just fine.
However, Hydrogen...
Hello all!
I've had this for a short while- I figured I would have it altered so it would fit me, but I decided I should just let go of it instead.
This one is incredible!! 4 patch pockets, all vented. Fabric is a wool gabardine with a "flannel" finish- it's a fuzzy gab, in short.
Dropped...
I can post this here, right?
Hello all,
I've been building models since I was 10, but time is tight and I need to thin out the "to-do" list.
Hence, I need this to go away to a good home.
Trumpeter Dicker Max kit, in 1/35th scale.
I started the kit- built the suspension, bogey wheels, etc...
These are an excellent resource for anyone looking to create something "period correct."
Upper right book is topcoatings, showing velour finished wool, checks, and herringbones.
The other three are suit materials, showing a WIDE range of plaids, glen plaids, herringbones, checks, pineapple...
I was going to say, but it's been addressed:
Flannel is a weave. You have wool flannel for example- wool is the fiber content, while flannel is the weave.
Therefore you cannot have a herringbone flannel.
Don't forget rayon flannel! You see a lot of shirts from the 1950's made from this too.
back of the suit?
I can, possibly tonight after I get home from work. Funny but the back is actually rather plain.
The belt on the back hangs loose from side seam to side seam. No buttons or whatnot.
Thanks everyone,
I have a good idea what to aim for in terms of price- if people give me a "kneejerk" reaction then I know I'm too high on that price.
It's a stunning suit, that's for sure! The jacket is basically mint too.
Hello all,
It has been quite a while, but I wanted to tap into the expertise in this forum.
I picked up this suit a few weeks ago. Marc suggests it is 1930's, probably German or Swiss origin.
I trust his judgment but I figured I would take a vote and see what everyone else thinks.
The...
Aha!
I wondered if you ever got around to using that material! I'm glad to see you challenged yourself with a great task.
If you need more, I still have it ya know....
