Bravo
If anything, I applaud this paper for trying to jump start the squashing of the metrosexual. Horrible period for men in general. Thank goodness I never fell into that trap...
Since this is the Fedora lounge...
did anyone notice the lack of hats on the fella's? I think I only saw a few. So much for capturing the essence of "the olden days"...
I'd say, if it's your first hat, take a good look at your closet. See which color combos are predominant. Then pick a hat that fits that scheme. This way, you'll get the most wear out of it. That is at least until you get your second, third, and 27th. I was a black and gray guy, so my first...
Well, I finally got up the nerve, and grabbed the best shears in the house. I took off 1/2 inch all the way around. It was way easier than I imagined. Did some touch up with my wifes nail file. Looks pretty good for a first timer.
Sorry to stray...
...but I love Shorpy. I can spend hours there just admiring the pics. I especially like to find an address, and then go to google maps to see what it looks like today. I wish that Google and Shorpy could get together and do it automagically for us. That would be some...
thoughts?
I've had my black Fed IV for some time now. Also found it a bit stiff compared to my new and old stetsons. I got a great crease in it, but for some reason the brim just strikes me as a wee bit to "cowboy hatish" for me. Should I get out the good scissors and take off a half inch...

Don't dig it..
I got the Annelo on ebay, and it's my least favorite hat of my collection. It doesn't hold a shape at all, and even when I steam it, it just looks ugly on me.The felt is thin, and just doesn't stack up to my vintage or new hats. By comparison, for a lesser price, I'm extremely...
Lucky find
I stumbled upon this site not too long ago. I've already picked up a beautiful 50's era wool overcoat for only $25. Great service and quality. The inventory doesn't roll to much so I'd just suggest visiting like every couple of weeks. Hope you enjoy...
Could be taken as good or bad.
The other evening while rushing to catch the train home from Philly after a long day's work, a co-worker (same company but not same department), was walking in same direction with me. He said, "hey, where's your machine gun". I was wearing braces, nice white...
My wife regularly waxes my brows, and for nights out I use concealer to help under the eyes a bit. :) When I was young, I used to use mascara to pretty up my mustache a bit. I think it's all perfectly normal. :)
