Just picked this up at my local. I'm thinking it was somebody's glovebox gun. The finish is worn on the cylinder an barrel in an almost pinpoint like pattern. Like it sat on a piece of carpet. The internals, timing and barrel are absolutely perfect.
A older gentleman who had his P.I. License carried a 1st gen Charter Bulldog .44 spl. He'd bobbed the hammer and barrel, making an already short gun practically disappear. I got to shoot it once and brother, that's a handful!
I too have an affinity for heavy single shots. I'm still trying to find justification for a Shiloh Sharps rifle. I took a moose with an Italian repo when I was 20. Been in love with them ever since.
Price tags and pearl grips don't win gunfights. It's your proficiency (an a wee bit of luck) that usually brings you home. If you shoot it well, then I say good enough!
I haven't seen the updated version either. It's been close to 10 years since I screened "silence of the lambs". Now I feel like it deserves a reviewing.
