What's the worst coffee worldwide?
At age 70, I've had lots of perk coffee. I like drip or Keurig better. Right now we have a Keurig and manually fill each grounds dose into reusable screen containers. The only drawback is fine grounds at the bottom.- Pilgrim

The Stratoliner Association {Premiere}
I just ordered a new Stratoliner True Blue from one of the classic hat shops, Paris Hatters in San Antonio. It will be a birthday present from my wife. Couldn't resist this one, as it has the classic look/feel. -

Action on the Hatless Fad!
I was encouraged to walk through a Dillard's this Christmas season and see two racks of hats. They were all stingy brims, but I'm pleased to see more young people wearing hats. -

JUST won a hat I've been looking for...a Statson Zephyr weight in loden green. 2 1/4" brim (which is about the minimum I will buy) and 5" crown. I'll have the crown set in a pinch-front, and that will bring it down an inch or so. This is the photo from the auction, so it's nothing special... -

Another reason to wear natural fibers - formaldehyde!
I regard that as of interest mostly to those who are sensitive to formaldehyde. As the author notes, it's present in stuff throughout the house, and laundering reduces the issue even in no-wrinkle shirts. I'm among those who like a starched cotton shirt, but the no-wrinkle blends have a place...- Pilgrim

My favorite trick for snugging a slightly oversize hat
I was in a hobby shop one day and noticed that they had strips of foam roadbed material for model trains. The foam is about 2" wide by 12" long and splits in the middle...so a half-width is the perfect size to fit behind a sweatband. Here's a shot of a half-strip of the material. Note that... -
