Yes.
If we need a male's opinion, of if a gentleman has something to say that he thinks we would appreciate, it can be addressed elsewhere in the Lounge.
In the future, I just won't buy anything wool. We'll keep the suits and sweaters we have on lock-down. We can't keep anything out in the open, as we have cats~ so claws and fur vs. moths... it's a toss up! And too many windows~ I'd get depressed if we covered them. Have to have natural light.
I'm so disgusted and upset, as we have recently found a moth invasion. My husband's double breasted suit looks like a grenade went off in the closet. His other two suits were in another wardrobe and are fine, but I found holes in one of my suits that was in the same cabinet. Very aggravating...
Trying the sofa "before" pic again,
Grrr.. I've tried everything, can't get it to show up... here's the link, http://www.flickr.com/photos/ohairas/1543850995/
Loving all of these beautiful homes! The black and white tile everywhere.. the vintage furniture, (esp. chairs!), the linens... and the pets, lol! I envy your vintage kitchens with original cabinets.
Our house is 105 years old and we've been working on it for about 10 years. Still much to...
It's not that I mind so much not being able to wear the heels... but trying to find appropriate shoes that are comfy and go with vintage is really frustrating. I'm waiting for these to come in the mail, hope they work out! I got them in coral and navy~...
Hello all~
I too have been away from the lounge for quite some time~ partly due to my age. I'll be 41 this spring. I've been struggling with "do I just look silly now"? I've also gained weight and cannot wear my favorite dresses. Another thing I've noticed over the past few years, be it age...
I too began sewing on an old HEAVY machine- a kenmore, which I loved. Machines can be found at thrift stores, yard sales, and on craiglist....
But anyhoo- perhaps give this pattern a try!

Tell your stylist to do scissor over comb in barber fashion. Moving from the nape up, bringing the comb out a bit further as they move up the back of the head.
It can also be cut with a straight razor- in reverse- starting at the top and sliding the razor in more towards the head as they move...
Please help with pattern layout~
I'm still very new to using patterns. I'm going to use this vintage Hollywood 413, (top left)
It will have the Scarlett O'Hara flare of the BBQ dress... green belt and apron.
The fabric I have is a king size sheet and I'm not sure how to lay the pattern...
Looks like they used clippers with a guard set on the same level all the way up. So your hair is not "shingled" at all. And as you said, they went up too high and "underneath". This is more of a skater cut than a bob. I don't mean to sound nasty, it's just that as a hairdresser I can't see...
Thanks a million! Hmm- says it was listed on 12/7. How did I miss it? I looked thru all of her stuff the other day- sold items also.
This is a big help as it appears it would be short waisted on me.
How cute is that with the vintage tablecloth!
