HOLY GRAIL Suit -- Summer Edition

Yup! I sent Janene a message after I won the suit and she said that Art has had it for years but never wore it.

HOLY GRAIL Suit -- Summer Edition

It also isn't wool flannel or a gabardine, its a very tightly woven linen/silk blend fabric, similar to a worsted. The whole suit is like nothing I've ever seen before.

Vtg 1949 Very Nice Wide Lapel DB Plaid Suit

Agreed, this section of the Lounge is only helping jack up the prices on auctions and is completely unnecessary. Most of the items posted on here are easy enough to find on eBay anyway since they are correctly listed too...pointless.

    Old Montgomery Wards 3-piece suit

It was Early 1930s. Think 1931-32.

Is this a decent suit to start with? (modern suit)

I live in Los Angeles and am also a student, and for that price you can probably find a vintage suit(depending on your size) for around that much maybe more maybe less. I'd save your money. If for future reference would like the names of stores to check out let me know.

Vintage Fedora Hat Collection for sale 150+

I don't see why everyone is slamming this guy about pictures considering he isn't breaking up the lot and wont ship them. Its a local sale of 150+ hats, I wouldn't take pictures of all of it to put on a forum for people that won't buy them. As he said, if serious you can meet with him or he will...

Thanks! Suspenders, always. Nothing else keeps the pants at the right height with the vest, without sagging and breaking up the crease.

Marc Guyot 's New 1930s-inspired Clothing Collection.

Valid point, there was a large amount of fabric all over the place that I liked A LOT, beautiful plaids, herringbones, and windowpanes among other things that you would expect to see in old catalogs. Many of the fabrics were much more traditional than the bright and more *out there* choices...

Marc Guyot 's New 1930s-inspired Clothing Collection.

Visited his store today in Paris... I don't know if it was just an off day but I wasn't very impressed. There were racks out in the store with many suits in plastic bags and stuff everywhere. I got a chance to look at the shoes, a few I liked weren't too over the top for my tastes(great 1920's...
