    Akubra Overload

Been a while, but I thought I'd add my most recent adoption. Akubra Leasuretime. Classic aussie styling with a stiff felt and a narrower brim than most of its genre. I had initially thought to replace the band but quite like the leather and feather combo. The crown is short but broad and I...

For Sale, THE Indy Jacket XL

I'll see what I can do. As I say in the link I'm a solid 6 foot 2 and its a comfortable fit, if a tad short in the waste like the original. Measurements to follow...

For Sale, THE Indy Jacket XL

Hey hat strokers, I'm offloading an authentic Coyles Raiders of the Lost Ark replica jacket for a sweet $60US! It's an XL in excellent condition and has had little wear as I live in Sydney where it doesn't get that cold. If you're interested, I've posted it to my Etsy store...

    Traveling Hat!!!!!

Not much interest in travelling hat 2.0 then? I was thinking we should pitch the idea to akubra. That way we could start with pix of the hat being made and beginning its journey. I think we can make this thing work! Ill make some enquiries.

    Traveling Hat!!!!!

Perhaps we should get another one rolling. Maybe we could request sponsorship in the form of a hat from one of the several vendors and manufacturors that have benefited from frequent word-of-mouth promotion from the hundreds of hat-addicted loungers that inhabit this site. We could send them...

    Traveling Hat!!!!!

Hmmmm...suspicious... Such a shame we lost that hat...again! Tom-n-Perrin was the last man seen in possession of the wandering squatter. Where'd he send it to? Well, wherever it ended up I hope it's being enjoyed.

    The Cap Faction

Thanks lads - love that Mr Freedom - what's the pricetag on those puppies - the site isn't giving it away?

    The Cap Faction

Hey cap lovers - I'm wondering if y'all can point me to some good online sellers of classic flatcaps. Most of the modern variety are a little skinny and short on brim for my liking. I'm chasing a nice soft tweed in the vein of George Clooney's lid in Leatherheads (no, not the helmet!)

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

Given that some of these go for around the $100 mark online I think you'd do MUCH better picking up a Fed IV for only a few bucks more. If you want a smaller hat with a bit of taper then an Akubra Adventurer or a Fedora would still be closer to the real thing and much nicer hats. If it's the...

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

I saw an old guy out shopping this week in a chocolate brown "licenced" Indy Fedora complete with the badge on the ribbon. While it's always nice to see a fedora out in the wild - it's really not a great looking hat. It kind of made him look like he'd just bought it at a carnival.

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

A cracking retort... I almost never get Indy comments as most of my hats are grey but now that I have a brown Akubra Fedora... it appears I fit the bill. I recently got my first Indy comment in years but was able to offer the perfect comeback. Following my daughter's birthday party on the...

    Akubra Overload

I've been wondering the same Spats - it was due to return to it's spiritual home down-under for a brief tour but I've heard naught for a while!?

    Akubra Overload

Sweet - I look forward to seeing it. It'd be great to see a Sydney and a Fedora side by side. Everyone says it's the same hat, but it'd be interesting to compare.

    Akubra Overload

That's exactly what i did!:D Grubby old polo shirt, cargo shorts and thongs (no, not the underwear - the flip-flop footwear kind;)) and the most stylish hat on the street! At least I was well dressed from the neck up! Mind you, it's a 2 hour drive from my place to Katoomba. My wife thinks...

    Akubra Overload

...oh and I'm a big fan of the trolly cord! My first stetson as a kid - an old Open Road - had the string+button and while I had no idea what it was for I loved the look - I nice nod to the old days! cr

    Akubra Overload

The brown Akubra Fedora I bought from The Hattery last week was certainly soft but not at all "floppy" - Although... a carbon grey one I tried on (with awesome red lining) definitely had a bit of flop to it. The gals at the Hattery were saying that there is officially no difference between...
