Akubra Overload
Definatly go for a hat jack. I own 2 of em and I keep them gently in any hat I am not going to wear for a while. They also help break in a new hat very well. I have the same problem...I am in between a 60 and a 61 so my Akubras need to be streched a little. The hat jack gets the job done... -

You can't go wrong with the territory, that was my latest Akubra. I also have a Snowy River and a Cattleman. The Cooper Peedy would be another great one. You really can't go wrong with an Akubra. BTW don't worry about rain. I have soaked all of mine repeatedly and they are none the worse for... -

THANK YOU and Thank You, I stopped in and picked up 2 nice little cow girl straws for my 2 little girls. They had some BEAUTIFULL Pannama straw hats, HOWEVER I think if I spent $350 on a hat my wife would ensure that I would not have a head to wear it on!!!! -

Finally got an old Stetson 7X!
SWEET HAT!!! My only felt Stetson is a 4X. The 7X must be really fine! I have to ask, did you steam the hat to put all those creases in it?? If not it truly is an amazingly malleable hat. -
Tall Ship Sail
I have to recommend a Tilley T3. It isn't as classy as an Akubra but it is the best sailing hat out there. -

NICE LID!! Looks like a good choice. Don't worry about the gap. Wear the hat day in and day out and it will conform to your head. Having a hat that is too tight is a much bigger problem IMHO. That is where a hat jack comes in, it cuts down on break in time and can save you some literal... -

Neat article. That is a little to Adams Family for me. I prefer more contemporary things. Also I find no value in the display of a animal in taxidermy that I did not hunt. Just my .2- Akubra

It was a lot cheaper in Africa than the US. I get all my African taxidermy done in Africa. You have to ship the stuff home either way, you might as well send it home finished. I use a taxidermist in the US for anything from North America.- Akubra
