    I see your point. I don't think Aero is trying to compete with the high craft artisanal makers. As Edward has so well put this, Aero is making jackets in the spirit of those of the period but is not trying to copy directly or perfect the patterns and craftsmanship.

    The flare effect is caused by the double thickness of the cuff against the softer single ply sleeve. It goes away over time as the cuffs soften.

    Why feared? Remember before there were malls there were department stores. They were in fact the first mall - everything under one roof. In the 1970's department stores were not cool but they were still popular. These are two different things.
