It's hard to see in the picture, but this has a chinstrap:

Thanks Mattfink!
Yeah, I totally didn't even read the JCrew's description. I saw the color and immediately placed the order. After I received it, I looked at the website and sure enough..."Japanese Selvedge"![]()

I dig the fake union label they added to the shirt.Originally Posted by marineabilly

Isn't a fake union label just... wrong?
It is a nice shirt though.
Yes, it is as wrong as paying a lot of money for workwear and being afraid to do work in.Originally Posted by jetgirl

It's just detail.
Workwear is the new Black.
Hey, if Dickies or Carhartt start making period perfect 1930's workwear for $20 a pop I'll be glad to buy it and destroy it. This stuff is just fashion.
Exactly - it's a reproduction. Why not try and capture as much of the original as possible? Almost all Japanese repop workwear has a union label, some exact and some are interpretations with the company's name.Originally Posted by Feraud
I'd like to see more items focusing on details that don't necessarily need to include a chinstrap. Wider variation of heavy duty materials used, and more 30's shaped collars would be great!
I may have a great hat, but I don't let it go to my head.
